Trainees and BIS

BIS actively encourages the participation of trainees within the Society, with three trainee members being elected to the Council every two years. Trainees have the option of free membership with benefits that include trainees’ meetings and the BIS newsletter. Trainee membership also enables participation in a forum that discusses topical issues surrounding training in infection related specialities.

This section takes a look at the up-and-coming changes to the structure of training in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, as well as outlining some of the specialities within infection, and the training programmes entailed.
