BIS autumn meeting prizes
Annual prize to support young clinicians and laboratory scientists in their research training. It is based on original articles published in the Journal of Infection. The prize includes a subscription to the Journal and a grant of £3,000 towards research costs.
Eligibility. This prize is open to all trainees in infection or infection-related disciplines who are first authors on an accepted paper in the Journal of Infection. Candidates must be the lead author of the article, and be in a training post at the time of submission. All papers accepted by the Journal and meeting the above criteria will be considered.
Prize for best scientific oral or poster presentation by a clinical or non-clinical trainee. Travel costs of up to £750 are available for a research project or to attend a major meeting or course on an infection-related topic (claimed from BIS Treasurer in arrears with receipts).
Eligibility. All scientific oral presentations by trainees at FIS meetings are considered.
Prize for best research presentation in the field of anti-infectives. Travel costs of up to £500 are available to attend a major meeting or course on an infection-related topic (claimed from BIS Treasurer in arrears with receipts).
Prize for best research presentations in the field of resistant Gram negative infection. Travel costs of up to £250 are available to attend a major meeting or course on an infection-related topic, or towards book purchase (claimed from BIS Treasurer in arrears with receipts).
Prize of £50 for best clinical lesson presentation by a trainee.
Eligibility. All FIS meeting clinical lesson presentations by trainees considered.
