BIS / AMM. The British Infection Society and the Association of Medical Microbiologists have now merged. A new BIS/AMM Council has recently been elected and the first BIS/AMM Council Meeting was held on 20th January 2010. A BIS/AMM Update paper is also available.

New MedFASH information pack Tackling HIV Testing: increasing detection and diagnosis now available.
The DARE (Drug-induced Arrhythmia Risk Evaluation) study aims to study life-threatening arrhythmias due to drugs, including anti-infective agents, which are known to be major contributers to drug-induced arrhythmia. Case studies are being sought to contribute to this study. Please see flyer for further details.

3-year fixed term appointment. Acting as Director of Studies for clinical MSc programmes, you will make a substantial contribution to teaching on infectious diseases of the tropics, with a particular emphasis on child health. Closing date for applications: 5pm Friday 19th March 2010.
